Neuro-Physiotherapy. On your first visit you will have a private consultation with the Physiotherapist and an individual programme of exercises will be developed with you to meet your needs through individual, group and/or home exercise.
The Center is also equipped with a variety of exercise equipment that may be employed during the session.
Our Physiotherapist will teach you how to stand properly, how to balance correctly, how to stand up from sitting and lying down, how to get onto and off the floor, how to walk properly and how to co-ordinate your movements better. There is a right and and a wrong way of doing all these things and our Physiotherapist will teach you the correct way to stop you getting into bad habits.
It can also be used from within a standing frame which enables those with little or no voluntary movement to stand for gradually increasing lengths of time to improve internal organ function, stretch limbs, improve balance and most importantly to stand at full height.
The Center also has specialised equipment intended to be used for exercise by those in a wheelchair.
Available is a 'motomed' cycle which assists individuals own activity to mobilise joints, improve circulation and strength.
For fitter members an individual general fitness circuit can be devised. Unit 17 Waltham Park Way, Billet Road, Walthamstow, London E.17 5DU Telephone & Fax 020 8531 9216 Registered Company No. 21366411 Registered Charity No. 803187 Established 1984 | |
